Summer 2011 so far...

After last post I realized there were some fun pics left out so I added them to the first part of this post...
Tay showing off her soccer medal!!
 Emma with her medal...
My soccer ladies together!
This was Tay on her birthday at school...
This was Chad in Lake Mead
Emma and Tay at the small cove we found...
Chase kept chucking rocks in the water...
and then laughed after every splash...
Tay was the first in the water and then she convinced Emma to come out too...
 She LOVED it there!
This is Tay bringing lunch to Emma at school...
This was Emma's last field trip of the year to the firehouse/police station...
The girls insisted on wearing their new light-up twinkle toes!!
They were so sweet to each other the whole time...
 Inside the ambulance...
posing for Mom...
 Trying to carry her sis...
The suit timed demonstration...Good job guys!
  before Emma's Violin recital...
 Taylor's Preschool Graduation...
Tay with Miss Debbie...We will miss you!
The kids with their infamous "Summer Buckets"
We brought lunch in to school for Emma and her friends to have a pizza and cupcake party on the last day of school...
 She was more than excited!
And they had such a blast together!
Chase was really good there too!
 swimming at Grandma's pool...
Emma thought it was hilarious that I was eating giant pickles so she took a pic of me from the back seat! The things that pregnancy can make you crave!!!!

Chase came into my room with this colored face and I could only assume it was him...turns out Tay was being an "Artist"...I quickly explained that this kind of "artwork" is not allowed EVER again...it's been 3 months, so far, so good!
Chad and I went out to Green Springs Golf Course and had an absolute blast! Chad was really on his game that day too!
Emma at her last baseball game...
Chad eating his cake we made him for Father's Day right out of the pan!!
 at least he shared!!
 Now for presents...
He of course got 3 new ties (one from each kid) and a new set of Taylor Made the Burner Series Irons! Spoiled is an understatement!
Hugging the kids for the gifts...
 reading their cards...
Loves for the cards...Father's Day was a great success! He also found out the gender of our baby that day too!
Emma in the cheap pool in our backyard. Little did I know a $10 Walmart pool and a slide would be such a hit with the kids! It has provided them with hours of creative entertainment!
She would volunteer to be the lifeguard and honorary hose sprayer! Chase loved it and Tay laid out in the sun when ever she had enough from getting sprayed!
While I made chocolate covered Raspberries! MMMMM
We made these handprint washcloths with our Sunbeams class as a gift for Mother's Day and they turned out really cute!
Then we made a special book and wrapped it all up like this bag and gave them a flower too!
We went in to tuck Emma in for bed one night and found her like this...
with her own homemade eye-mask! She cracks us up!

That will conclude our little mini recap of random picture found in my Iphoto folder. Now we are on to this post...

June Ranch Trip
The first day we got there Chase sacked out and was so cute sleeping I had to take this of him. I love it when they are still and sweet sleeping away!
Emma was being a nice big sis and was giving Tay a good ride on the swing...
 It got pretty scary....
Emma thought it was hilarious though...
Taylor was SUPER dizzy! Everyone loves the swing set at the ranch!
Chad and Chase hanging out together...

He is like his Dad's shadow.
Chase is such a funny kid! He had to wear this flannel shirt like his Dad was wearing of course!
This horse found it's way to the cabin...
He was a nice horse and let the kids feed him and touch him...
Makin' smores...
Chad was making sure the marshmallows were ready before we ate them...
 Emma decided she LOVES smores!
Taylor likes them too!
Chad felt the need to have a snack in each hand apparently! Ha ha
 Dad pushing Tay HIGH!
I guess this is the only way Emma knows how to play cards...
Taylor was working on her poker face and came up with this look...
Chase found this blue Barbie corvette and would race it up and down the hallway...due to the noise, eventually it was carjacked and never found again! Ha ha
 Playing cards with Uncle Jon...
Emma and Tay starting an intense game of WAR!
Chase loves this parking garage and played with it the entire time we were up there!
 This is him saying "Cheese"
I am never in pics because I am always the one taking them so I had Chad take a picture after church on Sunday after I got ready. No one wants to look at me when I don't get ready...trust me! LOL
Chase and Uncle Jon were deep in conversation about sippy cups...
Chad and the girls wrestling before bath time...
Chase eating his Ice cream cone from in town!

Golf Lessons
Chad was teaching Chase about putting and he picked up on it pretty quickly!
Look how cute his putter is!

DISNEYLAND!
We randomly took off one day to spend some time at Disneyland and visit California...
Everyone was excited, even us parents!
Chase wasn't sure what to be excited about because the last time we came was 2 years ago when he was only 4 weeks old...
Taylor was actually old enough this time to ride a good majority of the rides...I also made sure to put them in high flip-flops just in case...
Here we are riding the tram on our way to the entrance...
 Very excited
Emma and her cousin Travis...
Here we are just getting in line for my favorite family ride...The Pirates of the Caribbean!
We got Chase a new Cars 2 outfit and toys to help him fit in better at Disneyland...He LOVED it!
Here are the girls waiting for the parade to start...
 It's Ariel...Emma's Favorite!
 and Rapunzel, Tay's favorite!
The girls were fascinated by all the princesses!
We had to get the essential picture with the new Lightning McQueen and Mater!

Emma and Tay got the LAST Rapunzel wigs in all of Disneyland thanks to Grandma Pete who ran clear across the park to the pier that had only 2 left! I was sooooo excited when she got them because it was the only thing the girls wanted to get from Disneyland! We were confronted numerous times by kids and parents wanting to buy the wigs! It was crazy but the girls felt so special! People even were convinced it was their real hair! LOL
Chase wanted his picture taken by this sign too since the girls got one taken.
He is just so cute...mmm I love this boy!
Emma still excited about her "hair"!
Grandma and Chase after their ride on the rockets!
Grandma had to try on the Rapunzel wig to see what magical powers it possessed...
AWWWW now is this not the SADDEST face you have ever seen? Poor Chase was 3 inches too short to ride the "Soarin' Over California" ride!  :(
But we went to A Bug's Life land and had more rides he could do...
The look on Emma's face just cracks me up! This should be in a Disneyland brochure! She was talking about riding this from the second we told her we were going to Disneyland! She ended up riding it 3 times!
 Chad and Chase vs. Emma....
I love this picture at Space Mountain!
Chase found Buzz and was being a little shy so what did Buzz do????
He took Chase's car to be funny and obviously it was NOT funny...Chase was sooo SAD! Thanks a lot Buzz...not! Way to make my boy cry!
Chad decided this hat fits him and I agree! Goofy, Ha ha
Taylor said she felt like a princess in this hat and that's all it took for Chad to buy them each one...
here the little ladies are modeling them off...
Again, waiting for the parade to start...
I said try not to close your eyes kids and this is what Emma did... LOL( sorry if almost all my pictures end with the abbreviation "LOL" but I just can't help but laugh each time I see our funny pictures, if it helps I can post a DNLOL for Did Not Laugh Out Loud for each picture that I do not find funny...ha ha) moving on...

All my kids and my 2 nephews Travis and Caden and Grandma Pete came with us to Disneyland...
Chase was in love with this Ice cream truck toy he got... If you look close you can see his right hand is holding a wipe to give the car a "Car Wash" and then he had Doritos in the cup holder for him to feed to his car too. He is so creative and silly!
Tay wanted to get her face painted because Emma went on the roller coaster...
 she picked this cool dragon...
 She thought it was awesome!
Chase wanted to be a tiger so we told him he had to hold VERY still...
The faces he made were hysterical!
He was very serious...
When he looked at himself he was a little confused at first that it was really him and then he thought it was great!
Emma got her face painted too with this cute unicorn...
On our way out that night we stopped at this cool car customization shop called Ridemakerz. Chase was sooo excited to build his corvette.
 Emma built a pink Camaro...
She said she wants her Dad to buy her that exact car when she can drive! LOL
Tay built one too with pink rims!
We ended up letting Chase build a truck also...
Here we are checking out with our 9 remote control cars! You should have seen the kids racing the cars up and down the halls at the hotel! It was sooo fun!
They each got their own "garage" box to put their cars in.
Here the kids are outside the cool Ridemakerz store!
While the guys went to build their cars, I took the girls to Build-A-Bear and helped them pick out a cat each and some fun accessories like p.j.s, shoes, and skates....

We hauled our loot to the car and took up a good chunk of the sidewalk...
The girls even got a bed for their cats to sleep in! LOL
This is a pineapple spear from Disneyland that tastes sooo good.
It seemed like we ate at the Cheesecake factory for every meal but their food is just so yummy!

San Diego Wild Animal Park
Taylor was laughing at the bird that pooped in the tree, she thought it was so gross too!
Chase Face Painting again...
This time he was going to be the Lochness Monster...but he fell asleep while she was painting his face! LOL

Look at my sweet and scary monster-boy. People stopped us to take a picture of him because they thought it was so cute!
 Taylor picked these cute swans...
Then they put on LIPSTICK! She looked so cute!
Emma picked a Pink Pricess Kitty...surprise, surprise LOL
She was so happy with her face that we had to take picture with the face paint artist.
These were the choices they could pick from...
We found this cool cave for the kids to explore...
Emma didn't want to get her hair dirty so she made me take a quick picture so she could get out! LOL
It was really pleasant in the shade...so much so that Chase almost fell asleep on this rock!
They had this giant air balloon ride there that was so cool! This is from the 3rd story of the balcony...
Linda was so funny because she rented a scooter to haul the kids around on.
We really like this park better than any zoo because they take you on ride-on tours where you can get pretty close to the animals!
They were like 15 feet away!
The monster finally woke up on our tour and was mesmerized by all the animals!
 This was a baby giraffe!
We got close to this one's head!
The Zebras were running crazy when we came by.
They had a cool petting zoo and my kids spent forever in there loving on all the animals!
Taylor wanted to take this one home...she said it was lonely! LOL

The Beach!
Whenever we go to California we always try to make it to the beach...
 Emma looks so cute here...
They were playing a game to see who could go in the farthest and run back to shore before being tackled by the waves...
They all got pretty wet of course!
They loved it despite it only being 68 degrees!
Chase was more than happy playing in the sand...
Taylor finally gave in to the cold water and wrapped up next to me...probably has a little to do with the fact that she is a skinny bean pole with no fat for insulation!

The Ranch for the 4th of July!
This hammock is the best seat on the porch..many have slept, swung, played, and fallen from this hammock! (mainly Aunt Robyn! Ha ha)
Isn't there a weight restriction on these? Poor Uncle Jon was trying to take a nap when he was ambushed by a bunch of kids and grandma...so much for a peaceful nap!
We were the ONLY ones at the lake this day!
We went fishing up at these cool lakes by our property and caught a ton of fish!
Emma loves it but didn't want to touch the fish once they got on shore! LOL
I also have to admit that I was quite selfish this day...I kept hogging all the catches and had a hard time sharing...You will be happy to know that I was a great sharer the 2nd day! LOL
Chase is saying "ROOAAARRR" because I told him there were bears by these lakes that lived there so he had to imitate them...He's so funny!
This picture I posted so I could validate my earlier claim in this post that no one wants to see me without make-up and my hair done...It's okay, say it...I look white trash and borderline homeless...That's one of my favorite parts of the ranch...I don't have to get ready! LOL
Taylor is my patient fisher and so she does awesome because that is the key element in fishing!
 Our patriotic church attire...
Emma wanted her picture taken while she curtsied...
These are the Petersen family famous pork ribs...If you have ever been lucky enough to try them then you would be drooling right now...Food is another great plus about our ranch because something yummy is always cooking! I swear everyone puts on a lot of weight each trip to the ranch!
Chad made this yummy and patriotic strawberry shortcake. He was so cute because his Mom was teaching him how to make whipping cream and he just followed her every directions so close. MMMM that was a great dessert!

We got some awesome fireworks and of course Chad volunteered to be the pyromaniac that put on our firework show for 3 nights!
Chase wanted to be held the whole time...by anyone (poor Tay is only 4 pounds bigger than him!) LOL
Emma thought that sounded fun so she hopped on her cousin Nick!

We all got in our comfy seats and enjoyed HUGE fireworks as we said the cleche' "OOOOO, AAAAAAAHHH".
This was our launch pad (a big tree stump)
Tay got a little sick that night so we sent her to bed with a puke bowl and this is how we found her...
A hat Tay??? Come on you silly girl! LOL
Chase was being like Dad by trying to light these punks! LOL

The 4th of July
My cute kiddos on the 4th...
We had to drive home on Monday so we could be back for Tuesday but we made it before the fireworks went off!
The kids got these cute tattoos...
Every year we watch firework from on top of the auction building and it is a great view!
We just sat on blankets and ate snacks...
Daddy and Chase... I didn't get a picture of it but Chase got a rock stuck up his nose while we were up there and luckily I got it out with my acrylic nail! I knew I had them on for a good reason!  LOL

CARS 2
I heard on the radio that they were giving away tickets to the next 4 people who came to see them so I drove straight over and got the last 4 tickets for the opening night of Cars 2!!! It so much fun!
Waiting to go in to the movie....

Monster Trucks
Chad promised Chase for months that when the Monster trucks came to St. George that he would take him...
Chase was so excited to see them and we brought his mini monster trucks with us to the show too.
Can you see the enthusiasm in his face!
Emma was loving the jet firetruck...It caught a car on fire and made it blow up, it was definitely an interesting finale!

Family Home Evening Treats
We made a bunch of cookies for FHE and took them around to some neighbors we didn't know very well. The kids were proud to delivery the goodies!

Nature Reserve
I signed the girls up to do a fun event at the Tonaquint Nature Reserve where they would learn about different types of animals and plants. It's a 3 week course and they have loved each week so far. They make a craft each time and bring home some kind of feather or cool flower too.

Chad's Tricks
Chad made me promise I wouldn't put this picture on my facebook but he made no mention of the blog... basically he was trying to show off to get my attention. He is definitely never going to be a boring and dull person! I love that about him...but honey there is no need for your feet on my cabinets to get my attention, okay, thanks! :D

Go on a walk with your daughter day
Chad came home from work and announced that he needed to take our girls out on a walk because it was national go on a walk with your daughter day. He is always coming home telling me about random facts or news and it is usually very interesting. It was date night though so he ended up not being able to do it before we left but when we got home at 9:30, Tay was still awake. Chad went with her on a short walk around our circle and to get the mail. It is so cute how much he enjoys being a Dad and it just makes me love him more! Not to mention Tay was way excited to not have to be in bed! Ha ha

Sweet Emma's
I love these cute little old buildings in Santa Clara...
I took Emma to see this cute new shop for lunch called "Sweet Emma's"...
She was so excited that there was a store with her name in it...
It is small and super cute, they even had fun bags and jewelry! The food there was really healthy and fresh. The dessert are so rich and delicious! We are making this a new favorite!

Jumpin' Jacks
I don't know who the genious was that decided to put a Jumpin' Jacks here but my kids can't ever get enough of it! We finally had to buy a big punch pass because we go so much. I guess that's what happens when its over 100 degrees outside!
This is currently my kids favorite bounce house because they usually have it all to themselves and it's a SpongeBob of course!

Pre-Birthday Dinner
We went out a few days before my birthday with some of my friends to celebrate at Samurai 21.
It was a blast and the chef was hilarious and like always, the food was delicious!
They brought me out some yummy ice cream and everyone sang Happy Birthday to me! It was so fun! Then we went out to the movies. Needless to say, buy the end of the night I crashed right when we got home!

 Jen's 26th Birthday!!!
This year I wasn't very outgoing for my birthday being that I am 5 1/2 months pregnant. So my sweet husband bought me this ultra comfy rocking chair because it will be my new bed in a few months when the baby get here and I return to zombie Mommy! He also went out and got me a flat of raspberries and strawberries from Costco and 1 pound of specialty chocolate and a sweet card because I don't enjoy flowers.

Then we went out to dinner at Anasazi and grilled our meat on a stone! It is a fun place to go and we always enjoy it when we eat there!
Me and my honey :D
I was so surprised when I got home to find this adorable little cake that the sitter and my kids made for me! It was actually very tasty and had no egg shells in it like I had anticipated. It's funny how a darling little cake can mean more to me than a super expensive gift...I guess I enjoy sentimental gifts! This was another awesome birthday for me, thanks everyone who thought of me!

Girl Scouts
We have had the girls in Girl Scouts for almost 2 years for Emma and Tay just a few months but they both really enjoy the fun activities! Taylor got picked in this picture to demonstrate animal safety and she couldn't stop smiling! The cute ladies who came to teach about safety around animals gave each of the kids a stuffed beanie baby dog to keep and my kids have been sleeping with them each night.

This was their cookie party they had to celebrate all the cookies they sold this year! Taylor picked the craft were you make a pencil box out of the cookie box.
Emma did too only she picked Samoas instead.
Then they separated into groups to do relay races...
My girls thought they were tough stuff...It was cute the way they were posing!
This is the 3-legged race...
Then afterwards they were given their badges they had earned and enjoyed the yummy ice cream and other treats...
Emma was so proud of her badges....
and her certificate for selling over 300 boxes of cookies!

Sunday/ Hair book
I usually always have my kids/family wear matching outfits to church and I had bought these cute casual outfits for the girls and got them ready for church first. This past week I have been finishing up their "Hair Book" so they wanted this Hair-do added to the book. I take pictures of them in 4 different angles and at different steps as I do their Hair-do. They are usually quite a bit more intricate than this one. I should have it complete and updated on my hair blog by the end of the month. The girls really like the book because each morning they flip through the book and pick out one they like. Here is the link if you are interested in it (please keep in mind it's just a new hobby and I don't update very often) http://howtohairdo.blogspot.com
Here are my 2 beautiful little ladies before we head out to church...

BOWLING!
So it's summer and we want to make the most of our free time off of school so each day we have planned fun things to do. On Tuesday we decided on Bowling...
With both girls thumbs up I can see it was clearly a good choice! And no, bumpers is not cheating!
They had these cute little 5 lb. balls for the kids to use and it made it way easier for them to throw!
Emma was so sweet with Tay and gave her some pointers (even though Emma has only gone a few times herself!)

Wow! You made it! This is the end of our 45 day long post...All I can say is, I warned you...Our summers are BUSY! That means I don't get to blogging but every 6 weeks! No worries, by the time school starts I will resume my weekly posting. That is until the baby comes and then I can make no guarantees. I hope you enjoyed reading what we have been up to so far this summer. Stay tuned for more...
